50 and counting
Plant junior quarterback Aaron Murray has received his 50th scholarship offer. The latest comes from Oklahoma, Plant coach Robert Weiner said.
Murray continues to gather offers by the day, and Oklahoma's was expected. Murray is being recruited by Sooners quarterbacks coach and former Heisman runnerup Josh Heupel.
"That's a big offer," Weiner said. "Obviously, that's a school that can pick and choose."
An offer from Ohio State could be coming in the next few days for the 6-foot-1, 198-pound junior.

If we go after a qb in 09', I hope it's this guy! Doesn't have great size, but has a big-time arm and can make all the throws; He reminds me a little bit of Rex Grossman (the UF version, not the Bears version ). It'll probably be next to impossible to get a big-time qb after Pryor makes it official, but hopefully we at least offer this guy. Here's a video from YouTube:

Aaron Murray
The state of FLA actually had two top-tier QBs in attendance and many who were there were especially eager to see Aaron Murray perform. All he did was lead his team to the championship. Murray had one player in attendance, highly-rated TE Orson Charles, but Charles is a transfer so there was no history. Nevertheless, Murray showed that he will have absolutely no problem adjusting to new personnel at the college level.

Elite quarterback Aaron Murray names three leaders
Aaron Murray, an ESPN 150 Watch List talent, recently said, "The leaders right now are UCLA, Florida and Georgia, but it's not necessarily down to those three schools. There were different things that I liked about all three visits and I talked to my parents about that for a little bit. They are all great programs and great schools."
However, he continued, "I'm not going to narrow anything down just yet. I just want to make sure I'm 100-percent positive about where I want to go. If I don't make a decision before the summer, I'm going to visit a couple more places too."

I've been hearing he is a silent commit to Georgia. As bad as I wanted him, this isn't that big of a loss, since we already have Timmy Tebow, John Brantley, and Cameron Newton.

Yeah, but Timmy would a Senior once Aaron would get there. Aaron is a big time QB. Newton is not a QB, just a big athletic guy with an above average arm. I was at the UF Spring Game and he was very unimpressive when he wasn't running. Brantley though could have a future there if he can stay healthy... but neither Brantley or Murray are Meyer-type QBs.
