Tennessee has brought in a unprecedented number of football prospects this spring, but the Vols are still hoping to get a big one to come visit.

Offensive lineman Morgan Moses from Meadowbrook High in Richmond, Va., stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 347 pounds. With plenty of athletic ability, it?s no surprise he?s one of the top prospects in the nation.

UT, Florida, Miami, Georgia, West Virginia, Clemson and Alabama are among the schools that have already come calling with scholarship offers. Nearby Virginia, Virginia Tech and Maryland were the first to extend official invitations.

Therein lies the problem for out-of-state schools like UT. Moses knows Virginia, Virginia Tech and Maryland. He?s already visited each of their campuses.

?All three of them are great schools,? Moses said. ?I like the coaches, the players, good facilities and good people surrounding the team.?

In order for any school, including UT, to lure Moses, a visit is in order, either this summer or an official trip this fall. So far, Moses said he has no plans to visit any schools this summer.

The good news is Moses said he has no leader and plans to ?ride it out ?til the end,? meaning no decision is imminent.

?Distance really doesn?t play a part,? Moses added, yet another reason for the Vols and others to keep hoping.

?Tennessee is a good school and I?m looking to see more about what they?re offering,? Moses said.

Moses is being recruited by receivers coach Latrell Scott.

?Coach Scott is an awesome guy, down to earth,? Moses said. ?I?m hoping to get to know him more.?

Scott, who?s in Virginia this week to visit with prospects including Moses, has a strong sales pitch for offensive linemen since joining UT?s staff in January. With former offensive lineman turned offensive line coach Phillip Fulmer as head coach, Moses would have a tie to the top.

?That?s good to know,? Moses said. ?I guess you could say he looks out for his big guys.?

Moses certainly is that. He started as a freshman playing tight end at 6-4, 260 pounds. Following a growth spurt, he moved to offensive guard during his sophomore season before eventually finding a home at offensive tackle.

Bill Conley: Miller may be tough to get out of Florida but I'm sure Doc Holliday, who has always done a great job in Florida, will work him hard. ... Austin will probably pick between Pitt, West Va. and Maryland. Moses will be the toughest to get even though he is relatively close. He might choose Michigan or Tennessee even over the Virginia schools.

Morgan Moses shares what he's looking for
ESPNU 150 offensive tackle Morgan Moses spoke with affiliate Web site GatorCountry.com and he's still wide open.
However, Moses did state what he's seeking, "I am looking for early playing time. Also, I want a place where I can win a championship and a place with good coaches. I want coaches who are going to be there the whole time I'm there."
He added, "I don't need to be close home, I?ll go wherever I fit the best."
Progams such as Florida, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee and LSU are all in hot pursuit of Moses.

Already visited WVU, and plans to visit Ohio State and Alabama. Also interested in Tennessee, UVA, VT, Georgia, FSU, and to a lesser extent UNC. Going to VT this weekend on an unofficial for the VT game.

It is my understanding that Morgan has a lot of work to do in the classroom...

Out of these two schools I think we have a very good shot at him considering this is the beginning of the Kiffin era. This would be a great get but I am probably not saying anything that everybody else would say.

That's what I heard too - which is why an offer would really surprise me.

He's the kind of guy that SEC schools sign and then stash away at prep school for a year to work on their grades. Unfortunately, they don't seem to do that at Ohio State.

Doubt he even visits, let alone signs here.

By Farrell...visiting Alabama on 1/16 and considering visits to Oklahoma and OSU after that...his coach says he is now talking to OSU daily. Has already taken an official to WVU and is also looking at UCLA.

I was very encouraged by this article. If we can take Hall and have room for Moses too... this would be an amazing class that is very well rounded.

From everything that I have read, Morgan seems to be a very special player. I wonder if this is a type of guy the coaching staff would wait on assuming everything with him is in order. Not asking just wondering if he is that special.

It doesn't. We offered him a good amount of time before Hall even made his visit... it didn't just happen.

Anyway, I was looking through the Army AA Game roster, and Morgan is on the East. Who else is on the East roster, you ask? Oh, none other than FIVE Buckeye commits!! Jamie Wood (the ring leader), Justin Green, Corey Brown, Dorian Bell and John Simon. ALSO, two uncommitted but looking A LOT like future Buckeyes in Tajh Boyd and Marcus Hall. Let's break out the Buckeye Leaf helmet decals again and hand one out to Morgan, make it a tradition for all future Buckeyes in the game!!

Conversely, of the other schools mentioned in the recent article today, there will be:
--FOUR Alabama commits at the game; ONE on the East (DT Chris Bonds)...
--ONE Tennessee commit in the whole game (receiver Je'Ron Stokes, East squad)...
--ONE Oklahoma commits in the whole game (safety Kevin Brent, West squad)...
--ONE Virginia Tech commit in the whole game (TE Logan Thomas, East squad)...
--and ZERO UCLA commits in the game.

So, in essence, we will have SEVEN guys campaigning for Ohio State, while the other schools will have SEVEN total spread amongst them

I don't think that is a fair assessment. He's been saying he wants to visit Alabama and OSU for a little while now.

Considering that they're going after 5-6 more recruits right now and the limited room they have, I hate to not be able to sign anyone of them. Then again, just getting 3-4 of them will make JT the envy of a lot of coaches.
