This game won't be at night due to the Big Ten's rule about night games in November. Who cares if it was though, we destroyed them last time we played a night game there.

Why all defensive? I wasn't trying to start anything. He made a statement that was wrong. I actually think it will be another good game this year. I think it will be 17-13 in favor of the buckeyes.

Yes, Penn St did blow Michigan out last year. They stuck it to us and won the game. No excuses or crying here.

. Give me a break. If you want to make smart aleck/flaming comments against OSU on a Buckeye board, at least be man enough to admit that you did so when a Buckeye fan calls you out on it.

I will man up. I probably need to be more careful of what I say because a lot of people are sensitive on this boards and I know you all can get away with a lot more comments than I can. I had people say things to me on this board that if it was reversed.....I probably would be banned from this board.

If that is considered flaming on this board....then I'm sorry. I have seen a lot worse on other boards. If I really wanted to flame you guys, it would be a thousand times worse than that comment.

I just thought it was funny for someone to make a comment like that......when your team lost last year on home turf at night.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that playing at Unshaved Beaver Stadium is the only way they can beat us, but lets be real. As a former Penn State (Loved them growing up cuz I used to live there), they don't have a true rival on their schedule. They play little brother to Ohio State even when they can make a case for having a better team in a particular year. Penn State has been using Ohio State night games to piggy back off of our following and viewership and to lure in recruits.
Sucks to be those [censored]ers this year. We're going to blow they're doors off. Terrelle likes playing on the road, and probably wishes this was a night game. I'll go out on a limb and say we beat them by more than 17.

Perhaps you could explain then, why a sarcastic, smart-assed Florida fan is one of the boards leaders for positive rep? For that matter, perhaps you'd like to explain the amount of positive rep that YOU have for the short time that you've been here?

As for this being a homer board - yes it is. Add to that the fact that you made your comment in a thread about a game where you don't have a dog in the fight... No, you're not going to get the same leeway from the members that a Buckeye might. Tough nuts.

This is just a case of the old cliche: The clearer a statement is, the more likely it is to be followed by an explanation.

I understand I'm not going to get leeway. I have no problem with that. It's just the way things are. I can deal with it or leave. I choose to deal with it because this board is really good compared to other boards out there.

Yes, some people are very sensitive on this board compared to what I'm used to. There is no problem with that at all. I'm sensitive when it comes to Michigan athletics. Anybody that makes a comment that is wrong about Michigan I will not hesitate to correct it.

The funny thing to me is that it was kind of a silly comment to be made in the first place. The last 3 games at HV have been night games and OSU is 2-1 in those games. If the comment were just "What a shocker. PSU wants the home game against OSU to be a night game. ".....there is no debate here.

The initial comment merited a rebuttal. Sure, maybe zwem was a little snarkier than he needed to be, but the responses to him seem to be the ones that are over the top, IMO. It wasn't flaming (okay, the "Penn St. got lucky right?" part maaaay have been unnecessary ), it was a pretty fair response to a post that didn't add up.
