Conclusions: It was the coldest damn 54 I've been in in some time. Felt like August in San Francisco. The crowd was thin. I got two tickets in 10 C for face value before I discovered that seats on the 40s were going for $40 and some even less. Oh well. There were clumps of empty seats everywhere, even the top portion of Block O. The way the wind was swirling it was a miracle that Terrell could pass at all much less that he could put it on the money as often as he did. You could sense that everyone was focused on him, would he look as woeful as he did at Purdue? I thought he seemed tight the first two series and then he just took charge of the game. And then 29 came into the game. Have we found our RB? And then Martin began to rumble and I thought it was 1957 and Woody was on the sidelines and Bob White was pushing people out of his way.
When not left on the field all day this defense can flat out bring it. Coleman is just everywhere on the field.
Wandered down to High Street afterwards to find a warm spot to catch events in Ann Arbor. Managed to find my way into The Little Bar.
Conclusions: Michigan will have to score a ton of points to beat the Buckeyes 'cause their defense really sucks. Bra sizes have increased dramatically since I was an undergrad. It's not your Mother's Playtex. Watching kids drink was scary. Credit cards for drinks? And so much hard stuff going down at 4 in the afternoon. Whoopee! I wouldn't want to be a Columbus cop on the night detail. And the noise -- err music. My ears still hurt as I settled down in my room to watch Iowa and Sparty go at it. Memo to self put money in hearing aid futures.
All in all, Mongo like homecoming.
