Don't know if it was mutual...I am going to assume that it was...

Wright had lots of potential, and I would of liked to see him be in the class...But I am sure there was talk about the depth on the wing that might of been talked about and brought on the decision.

Payne has an offer and I believe Ferguson was offered at some point so that would leave Joseph and Weatherspoon as possibilities.

Too bad about Wright. Hopefully this works out for both he and OSU. I wonder if the fact that Lighty will likely be back for the 2010 season played any role in this as OSU will now have one extra returning wing for that season.

I do not think that it is a done deal that Lighty will be back for 2010. He might not to go to Europe or something like that because he will have graduated. I do not know this for a fact but it has been speculated for awhile.

With him opening things up, is it a possibility that he may re-commit to the Buckeyes, or has he completely eliminated the Buckeyes from his list of schools?

Couple of questions CBF 40;
Count me as confused, but does "Lighty in 2010 is a done deal" refer to:
1. playing in 2009-2010 and then done (graduating) or
2. taking the red shirt and coming back for 2010 -2011 season?
Please make my day and say you mean the latter.
If the latter how would this have impacted Cameron Wright's choice to open things up, since he plays a 2 and Lighty the 3?

The 2 and 3 are basically the same position in Matta's system anyways.

I think it's just a numbers game really.

I think this ends up working out well for both parties and I can't imagine there's any bad blood over this decision.
