I think another source is needed prior to changing the thread title and it would not suprise me if the offer was made with certain academic goals being met.......latest article mentions Payne has not taken the college entrance exam as of yet but he has plenty of time....

There are a LOT OF STEPS up from Dayton to MSU. I doubt he'd pass up the right offer to move up! Don't dismiss the chances as I think they are pretty high!

I also was told that about Crean a while back - that he was holding steady at MQT waiting for Izzo to move on somewhere. But impatience sets in and another offer can be enticing ( particularly at a storied program like IU ).

But MQT is more of a name on today's landscape than Day is, that is certain.

I just think Gregory could well jump to a higher ceiling program in the next couple years.

I'd be a bit surprised if he chose Dayton over OSU. Location wouldn't seem to be a factor, and you have to believe his NBA prospects are better if he gets the type of exposure that comes with being a member of OSU's squad.
