Boy, Gillespie is really extending a lot of early offers. I guess there are pros and cons to doing that. If a kid accepts the offer and then close out a knee or has other problems, you could get stuck. I am not talking specifically about this kid but just in general.

It is a risk you have to take in recruiting top kids in basketball.......Offutt comes to mind.......offered early....two knee injuries......nothing against Offutt...just relating the issue.....

I wasn't just talking about injuries but possibly other issues which might arise over a 3-4 years span with a recruit. Okay back to the recruit's thread.

Davis is very interested in Kentucky and is excited about the offer. Kentucky, Indiana, Purdue, Ohio State and Xavier are recruiting him. Davis plans on attending Ohio State's elite camp this August.

Hoosiers Already Sold on Muncie's Davis...........Kentucky and Indiana have offered. Ohio State, Purdue, Syracuse and Tennessee have made contact. Davis averaged 7.4 points a game as a freshman.
