I'm excited to see this player develop in college. He's got good short-area quickness for covering TEs, great size to eat up space in a zone, deceptively-good speed to seal an edge, slippery finesse moves, and a powerful bullrush. One of the most effective things about his game is that he can play tall in coverage, but can get low when going in for the tackle. With the right help, he could develop into a great WLB, SLB, MLB, LEO, or SSDE. His defensive skill set is pretty great within a 20 yard radius, so SSDE would not allow him to develop all of his already-solid abilities. I see him as a hybrid DE-LB, with both zone coverage and man coverage responsibilities on TEs and RBs. Overall, I think he's a very good prospect with a lot of potential.

Scout$--Gholston In No Hurry
William says he wants to play OLB and is not in any hurry to select a school. He is interested in tOSU but is not overwhelmed by the offer. |

Starting to believe he'll end up somewhere in the south now.

He sounded pretty excited about the Florida offer he received.
