Rivals $
2/9 From TheWolverine...Coach Rod did not want him committing early if there was a chance he would decommit but he says he has his mind made up and is not the type of person who would back out of his commitment...says he is ready to be a Wolverine for life. |

Not trying to criticize the kid, but unless he was told that the Michigan offer would be pulled at some point, I don't see what he has to lose by waiting at least a little while. Seems very rushed and not well thought out.
I wish him the best of luck that I'm willing to wish a Wolverine. ![]() |

I don't know what there was for him to wait on...he said he wanted to go to either OSU or Michigan...one school offered while one was planning to wait, if offer at all. Simple decision...

Unlikely from what I understand...

I also saw the Louisville game and Jerald Robinson was Canton South's leading receiver with 97 yards (over 2/3rds of their pass yards) on five catches. In the game Louisville threw for 336 yeards against South even though Robinson had 2 picks. I concur that Robinson will contribute faster on the defensive side. He seems to have better instincts at Safety (5 ints.) than at WR (doesn't have elite speed and IMHO just an average route runner). He ended the season with an average of just under 3 catches per game but for over 22 yards per catch. To his credit he did come on stronger at the end of the season and during the 2 game playoff run. Good luck at TSUN Jerald, except for one day a year. ![]() |

Rivals $ - Coaches marvel at Robinson's go-get-it ability
2/10 From TheWolverine...Jerald's coach talks about how OSU was still showing interest...Canton South runs a similar offense to UM...his coach says he is a natural receiver who can jump out of the gym. Doesn't sound like he was trying to force OSU's hand...it sounds like this kid genuinely wanted to be a Wolverine from the moment they offered. Best of luck to him in A2... |

Just a FWIW....
Ohio State was not "getting ready to offer", that was put out by his coach. They (Ohio State) called and his coach assumed as much. If he wanted to go to Michigan all along, he sure wasn't saying as much recently (even after seeing AA). Good luck to him, but i'm not buying what he's selling. If it was just about wanting to go to UM....he wouldn't take time in each and every story to take a jab at Ohio State and/or the state. |

Not pleased about losing a stark county boy to TSUN, but glad for this youngster. Keep your nose clean kid...and some advice...if Devoe invites you over to his apartment for a party...politely decline!
.Good luck in the future, except against the bucks (and leps)! ![]() |

Sometimes I am amazed at the "statistic inflation" and can't understand the tendency to hyperbolize in recruiting circles.
Robinson is a nice player and had a good season, but note the difference in receptions, yards, and interceptions. Rivals.com Football Recruiting - National Notebook: Horns get a jump on 2010 Quote:
