There is no questioning junior Mike Hull's (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) ability -- he is one of the top all-around athletes in the Big Ten region. The questions are which position Hull will play at the next level and who he will play for?

Hull was an all-conference selection as an outside linebacker his freshman year in one of the top conferences in the state of Pennsylvania. He made 104 tackles.

The 6-foot-1, 212-pound Hull played inside linebacker, safety and running back his sophomore season. He led the WPIAL Quad A in rushing with 1,300 yards, averaging 7.1 yards per carry and scoring 14 times. On defense he made 117 tackles.

Canon-McMillan's offense exploded against winless Baldwin as the Big Macs earned a 53-6 win in the Great Southern Conference.

Chad Hagan rushed for 135 yards on just seven carries, taking two for touchdowns, and also caught a 25-yard touchdown from Steve Roach. Mike Hull rushed for 82 yards and scored twice.

Canon-McMillan (2-0, 4-2), which rushed for 448 yards, had six touchdown plays of 25 yards or more.

Rallying from a two-touchdown halftime deficit, the Big Macs (5-2, 3-0) toppled visiting Mt. Lebanon (1-6, 1-2) in the Great Southern Conference. Mike Hull got the comeback started with a 31-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, and it was followed by a two fourth-quarter scores by Chad Hagan, covering 2 and 6 yards. Mt. Lebanon, which had 182 yards passing in the first half, was held to 10 yards in the second half. The Big Macs rolled up 24 first downs and 392 yards total offense compared to 12 first downs and 243 yards for the Blue Devils. Hull led Canon-McMillan with 114 yards rushing on 23 carries.

Bethel Park beats Canon-McMillan to clinch title

It took John Schademan less than four minutes to give Bethel Park something they haven't had in 10 years.

Schademan, a receiver, scored three touchdowns in a span of three minutes and 49 seconds last night, and his outburst vaulted Bethel Park to a 28-10 victory against Canon-McMillan in a game that decided the top spot in the Great Southern Conference.

With the win, Bethel Park clinched first place in the conference. It has been 10 years since the Black Hawks have been able to call themselves conference champs.

Bethel Park is 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference. With a win next week against Baldwin, the Black Hawks will finish the regular season with an undefeated record for the first time since 1964 and the fourth time in school history. The other years were 1943 and 1951, although the '43 team had a tie.

Bethel Park's defense was outstanding, limiting Canon-McMillan to 211 yards, including 91 on the ground. Hull, who came in with 717 yards rushing, was held to 41 yards on 15 carries, his lowest yardage total this season.

Mike has offers from Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia and Michigan. He admits to PSU being his favorite but wants to give other schools a chance.

Mike loved his visit to tOSU and says he now has a tough decision to make. He does admit his PSU roots will likely have a big impact but he also says tOSU was his best game experience.

Didn't read it anywhere (also didn't look too hard) if he was related to Josh Hull the current MLB at PSU. Obviously i'm assuming he is.

If that's the case the stealing him would be awesome. I'm not counting on it though.

I dont know if he's related to Josh, but his dad played football at PSU.. We have no shot here, but it was nice to hear that our game atmosphere was better than PSUs

And he's committed to Penn State.
