Cornerback Dior Mathis (Detroit, Mich./Cass Tech) has over two dozen scholarship offers. Mathis' list includes Michigan, Michigan State, Florida, Oregon, Tennessee, Miami, Purdue, Minnesota and Cincinnati.

The 5-9, 170-pounder, who intercepted eight passes during his junior season, wants to see who else offers and feels Ohio State and USC could join his list. Mathis said he has no favorites at all and will definitely wait and take official visits before selecting a college. He said he may take all five trips.

Wow...great film. He has very fluid hips, great recovery speed, and attacks the ball in the air. What I loved most what that he plays a lot of man defense, and seems to excel in it. GOtta love that from a corner. May not have the eye popping plays of a Joyner (then again, who does?) but I'd be more than happy with an offer going out to Mathis.

Possibly but I feel his recruitment is FAR from over. Many teams still in it. Dior is a kid that I could see ending up at various places. Heard is he is only 5'7 on a good day. He has quite a bit of trouble with taller WRs and got destroyed when he had to go up against Devin Gardner when Dev was fooling around this past week at a camp. Still has time to grow and become a very good CB though.

ESPNU 150 Watch List cornerback Dior Mathis lists top five in order

Dior Mathis (Detroit/Cass Tech) gave ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com the latest update with his recruitment.

"Right now I have Oregon number one, Michigan State number two, Miami number three, Tennessee number four, and Michigan number five."

Mathis said he hasn't heard much recently from Miami and discussed the positives of his top two schools.

"The one thing about Oregon is the coaches talk to the players in a real way and they are not fake. You are not going to get one thing from the coaches and then the players will tell you it's another way. I am going there in two weeks and I want to know what there is to do in Oregon. I want to know if there are things to do there and find out more about the school and facilities."

"Michigan State was good because I got to bond with the coaches and players. It got me thinking more about Michigan State. The coaches at Michigan State are real too and they aren't different when you deal with them in person."
