Buckeyes Have No Luc Recruiting | Ohio State Buckeyes College Football Recruiting, OSU Big Ten Football, OSU Basketball – Bucknuts.com

Quote:
I have been expecting linebacker Jeff Luc (Port St. Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast) to make an official visit to USC this weekend. However, there was a rumor going around that he might visit Ohio State instead.

When I texted Luc and ask him about the rumor and if he might visit OSU this weekend, his response was: "No Sir!!!"

As I have been saying for a long time, the chances of the Bucks landing Luc are very, very slim. If OSU is going to get a great, great linebacker prospect between now and signing day, it is going to be Jordan Hicks.
The rumor I heard is that his teammate Deon Rogers might be visiting this weekend...

...

The list of prospects that are starting to sour on the Noles is pretty ridiculous. Top-10 Athlon Consensus 100 names like LaMarcus Joyner and Jeff Luc have cooled on Florida State.
...
Luc has long been rumored to stay in state. Florida and Florida State have always been atop his list but the Tennessee Vols appear to making a strong push. He has been incredibly private about the process so this one is still wide open. In both cases, it does not appear that Florida State will be holding the Golden Ticket.

Got a chance to watch Jeff Luc and the rest of the Treasure Coast High Titans play last night, and I have to say that I was not that impressed with Luc or the Titan's other hot-shot player Deon Rogers.

Jeff Luc is an absolutely AMAZING looking physical specimen, looks like an NFL player on a high school field. His listed height/weight of 6'1, 240 is probably right on the money. He is jacked and ripped beyond ripped. Having said that, he did almost next to nothing against a team that ran the ball about 40 times and passed it about 6 times, and all 6 pass attempts coming once they were losing to Treasure Coast 20-3 in the 4th QTR with 8 mins to go. Luc really didn't get his name called often and didn't dominate like I expected him to do considering the hype.

Deon Rogers is definitely a great athlete, but he's very skinny right now. Rail thin would be an accurate statement. He did flash his speed a couple of times by chasing down some RB's from behind, but he was pretty much non-existent and his name was not called very often.

The kid from Treasure Coast that impressed me the most was their QB and WR. The QB is only a sophomore and he's probably only 5'10/5'11, but he's lighting quick, very good speed, and he's got a very strong arm- can make all of the throws. In fact, he probably throws the ball too hard right now and he overthrew quite a few passes. If QB doesn't work out for him he's definitely a good enough athlete to play WR or CB.

The best player on the field last night though was the WR, #4. The kid was really just unbelievable. He's a tall kid too, looked to be 6'1/6'2, he had some nice size to him. Treasure Coast was only up 6-3 for most of the game until that kid went off late in the 2nd half and got Treasure Coast 2 TD's to pull ahead 20-3. He showed off his speed and quickness by taking a short little screen 81 yards to the house for a TD. It was an incredible play, don't know if I can do it justice trying to describe it.

His 2nd TD catch was about 25-30 yards, but it was just as impressive if not more impressive than his 1st TD catch. The ball was poorly thrown on a fade route and the kid was double covered, had a CB behind him and a safety in front of him, he timed his jump perfectly, went up and snatched the ball at the highest point with his hands, and he sandwiched as the CB hit him from behind and the safety absolutely destroyed him with a monstrous hit, but the kid still held onto the ball for the score.

I mean it was a nasty hit, a kill shot, but the kid showed incredible toughness and willingness to take a hit. The hit was pretty bad, and the kid tried to get up but fell right back down to the ground and had to be helped off the field. Luckily it wasn't anything too serious, as he was back in the game a couple of series later.
