This certainly makes sense, and it probably is what FSU did back in the 90's, the term "silent verbal" just hadn't been coined yet. |

Not only would silent verbals somewhat curb negative recruiting, but they may also keep other recruits interested. tOSU missed out on a couple of guys in the '09 class because of how fast it filled up at certain spots. But who are we kidding? Uncommitted prospects encounter negative recruiting as much as committed prospects.
