Latwan Anderson S Ohio:
I should've figured this one would get some interest . Alright my thoughts on the kid are that his potential is the best out of all the safeties out there. He has good size at 5'11, amazing 4.3 speed, good leaping ability with a 37 inch vertical. He could come in Day 1 wherever he goes and compete for return duties, and if he never lives up to his potential at safety then I at least see him being a successful return man. He needs to work on some things to become more consistent in coverage, but one thing he is good at is big plays. Always has a knack for making a big hit, INT, or score. I like him as a player and can't wait to see how he improves this year at Glenville.Last edited by NextBuck; 06-20-2009 at 12:36 AM. |

Those who saw LaTwan at camp said he could be no taller then 5'10...

Honestly, I just copied and pasted his profile measurables for that video interview. He is 5'10" or just under that... he will come up and smack you in the mouth all day, but he needs to get bigger.
#30 overall is Eugene Clifford, Craig Loston, Will Hill, Chad Jones territory. Latwan's a good #75-100 type at this point. |

Also when it comes to size look at guys like Bob Sanders. You don't need to be 6'2. I put him high up based off potential. I think this year will really test on whether he moves up as high as I have him, or if he drops to the #80-#120 range. I'm really interested to see him in the AA games. |

Gardner shouldn't even be allowed to carry a copy of a list of top 30 players, let alone make one.
Anderson, Brown, Nix, Ogletree and Chandler are too high. Norwell is too low. I just don't see DT's being worthy of top 30 status unless they are 6'4' and 350, run a 4.7, and can bench press a pickup truck full of Hooter's girls. Valiant effort though. |

Also, guys make your own lists, so we can see who you think are the best players right now. I mean I have no problem with people critiquing my list, but it would be nice to compare it to something else. |

Ogletree I could end up being wrong on, who knows. I will be more than happy to post my list, and I can be sure it won't include Gardner. I still can't believe you ranked him that high. |

Dorsey, Jean-Francois, Cody laugh in your general direction.

DT play has been big in recent national championship games. |

NFL coaches can pretty much figure out who will succeed at that level, college coaches don't have that luxury of getting players who have 4-5 years of good coaching, a ton of time in the weight room and years of playing against better talent every week to prepare them for that level. |

Like I said it's still early on and rankings are going to change in our minds. I can honestly say that I don't know as much as I would like to about this class yet, but after camps like USC's, UF's, etc and the all-American games then you can barrage my list if you feel I did something crazy. Personally I feel Gardner and Hinder are the top QBs in this class at the moment, so thats why they are both in the Top 30. |
