My Take: Solid. Most clips at WR. Impressive athleticism of course but also shows excellent ballskills...definitely attacks the football. Best part though is a series of clips showing his blocking downfield.

Shaw is simply a very good natural athlete and skilled two-way prospect currently falling under the radar. He has good height and a longer, leaner frame that should continue to fill out well. Actually plays bigger on film and is a feisty blocker at receiver. What stands out on offense is his big hands and consistency plucking the ball away from his frame. Displays very good concentration and body control tracking the deep ball and adjusting to it in the air. Demonstrates excellent timing, high-point and ball skills. Very good red-zone receiver. After the catch he shows good elusiveness and smooth movement skills making defenders miss; cuts well laterally with loose hips. Not very explosive after the catch but his wiry body is deceptively strong and he breaks his fair share of initial contact. On defense, we like his height and ball skills as a deep zone defender. Has the physical tools to develop into a good press corner; excels at rerouting receivers off the lane and retaining inside leverage on man-to-man coverages. We like his fluidity in his pedal and transitional quickness breaking underneath and undercutting routes. Has good recovery quickness and good body length to help make up ground. Has a smooth stride and good acceleration but top-end speed may be his only real concern when projecting for the next level. Will need to fill out and polish up fundamentals but his technique on both sides of the ball is very good considering he has not concentrated on one position. Overall expect recruiting to continue heating up for Shaw; he simply makes plays on both sides of ball and the game comes very naturally to him. Has great upside as his body still has a lot of physical development left.

Free video update from Rivals. Has a top 5 of USC, OSU, ND, Washington and Oklahoma. Plans to take all 5 visits before deciding, and will visit ND when they play USC. Also working on setting up an official to OSU for the USC game. Distance won't be a factor and wants to decide in December before enrolling early.

This kid seems genuinly excited for the Ohio State offer. He was also talking about making an un-official to OSU this summer, so the interest is legit. He would be a perfect compliment to a smaller corner like LJ...

Seems like a USC, ND, and tOSU battle. ND lead early but offers from SC and tOSU have made things interesting. IMO it will come down to tOSU and SC. But the question is how many CBs are we looking to take?

I'm stating the obvious here but stealing a homestate kid from USC would be nothing short of a miracle. However, it does seem he has legit interest so hopefully we can make it happen.

If I were to guess a position that we could steal a Cali recruit from USC it would definitely be CB.

For all the draft picks USC has produced lately, only 4 in the last 10 years have been CBs. Two 6th rounders, a 4th and a 2nd.

Compared to 8 for OSU -- Four 1st rounders, Three 3rd's and a 4th.

Probably one. Safety is more of a need than CB this year. I'm sure they are looking for versatility and how the Freshmen perform (CJ Barnett, D. Clarke, C. Brown) during fall camp.

I think they take 4 total for defensive backfield. Two safeties, one corner, and one guy that they feel can play either safety or corner at this point.
