This guy has impressive measurables and a strong OSU connection. Noticed on his ESPN bio that he has run an 11.1 in the 100. Wonder if there is any chance he could possibly be looked at as a big safety?

Terrell is sensational on his highlight film and he had a great junior seaspn when he recorded 129 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, had 2 sacks, four quarterback pressures, two pass breakups, and one pass interception. He is also an incredible physical specimen.

I was so impressed with Terrell, I immediately invited him to play in the 2010 All-American Bowl Game and he accepted.

I'd love for us to be able to tap into Alabama. It seems like every year they have a few studs. Julio Jones and Dre Kirkpatrick come to mind, even though they didn't leave the state.

Jermale Hines redux.

Honestly, after watching Nigel's film, he has become one of my most favorite recruits thus far. I like him more than Hagan at Safety. Now, that mainly has to do with me not seeing any of Chad's film, but also because Nigel's just looks incredibly good. Depending on which Safety spot Jamie Wood ends up at, or how Zach Domicone progresses, Nigel looks like a stud STAR/Strong Safety in the making to eventually take over for Hines when he graduates.

I am praying for an offer. I think we'll get back to him after our camp this weekend to see how guys perform then, but I would have to imagine Nigel fits perfectly in our defense.

1. I REALLY like this kid. I think he's a perfect fit for our system at the Star.
2. I'm praying for an offer and am especially please with his father's side of the family.
3. I'm scared for the futures of his opponents if he's playing taller and faster than his listed measurables..!

The kid shows a lot of energy and athleticism, but lacks polish. There was a kid like that a few years ago and his name is Anderson Russell. I agree with the comments above about him being a good Star candidate.

Would academics be an issue for the staff? The GPA should be enough, especially if he can get it up to a 3.0 1st semester. But will a 19 on the ACT be sufficient or is he going to have to retake that before being accepted into OSU?

The dude definitely passes the look test, that's for sure. And as others have already stated, it would sure be nice to tap into Bama's school systems. Georgia has treated us well in recent years, let's see what we can do in Alabama.

ESPNU 150 LB Terrell to decide on Thursday
Tuesday, August 25, 2009 | Print Entry
Posted by JC Shurburtt

ESPNU150 linebacker Nigel Terrell (Pelham, Ala./Pelham) will make his college decision at a press conference Thursday at his high school. Terrell is expected to pick either Florida State or Ole Miss and it's a dead heat between the two. The Seminoles have been the clear cut favorite, but the Rebels have closed the gap considerably since then.

Second ESPNU 150 outside linebacker, Nigel Terrell, picks the Seminoles

Rated eighth amongst Class of 2010 outside linebackers, Nigel Terrell (Pelham, Ala.) announced his intention to sign with Florida State over Ole Miss Thursday, ESPN affiliate Web site NoleInsider.com reports. ESPNU 150 OLB Telvin Smith (Valdosta, Ga./Lowndes), is also on board with the 'Noles.

ESPN's Billy Tucker said of the news, "FSU is certainly focusing on revamping their front-seven with this 2010 class. Terrell is the Seminoles' fourth ESPNU 150 prospect committed along the defensive line or linebacker position and all have the ability to get upfield and be disruptive at the next level. They are also a little on the lighter side, but Florida State has done well over the years developing undersized defenders who can run and swarm to the football."

"Terrell can certainly cover the field and make plays out on the perimeter. The top-rated overall linebacker in Alabama has fell under the national radar in ours eyes; he lacks size and some fundamental polish but this kid can flat out run and close on the football with the explosiveness of a much bigger linebacker. The bulk will come on his rangy frame when gets down to Tallahassee and attacks its fulltime weight training program, his great first-step quickness, burst and sideline-to-sideline range simply can't be coached."

Schools such as Arkansas, Kentucky, West Virginia, UAB, Western Kentucky, Colorado and Troy also offered Terrell.
