'11 OH PG Nyles Evans
nyles evans.jpg
Nyles Evans Canton Hoover High School, OH 5'10 PG Nyles is already listed as one of the top underclassmen(Freshman) in the state of Ohio. First ever freshman to start at Canton Hoover High School. Brother N'Gai, a true freshman, is on scholarship at Wright St and averaging a few minutes a game. Nyles has a very complete game. He has a nice outside stroke, and also penetrates very well. Gets others involved very well. Obviously very early, but he has the ability to take his game to another level from his brother N'Gai. Last edited by billmac91; 01-21-2008 at 01:15 AM. |

Hoover beats a pretty good St. Vincent-St. Mary's team. Nyles continues to start at PG, and is considered one of the top 10 freshman in the state. His brother N'Gai(freshman) is playing terrific in limited action for Wright St. who is making a late push for the NCAA tournament. Canton Hoover has their first round playoff game tonight. |

has a lot of attention from Big 10 schools. Has a great handle and smooth game. A true PG. Doubt he ever gets tOSU attention or offer, but would not be surprised to see him starting opposite the Bucks down the road. His brother N'gai just finished a solid season at Wright State at the point guard position. N'gai would have started for the Bucks last year.....Nyles is better as a sophmore in high school than N'gai was......

billmac91, not sure why you are touting this kid but you lose some credibility when you characterize his brother's frosh year stats of:
34% FG 27% 3s 1.7ast 1.6 t/o from the PG spot as solid and claim he would have started at tOSU. As much as Simmons and Hill struggled they put up better %'s and ast-to than that! Those are not solid numbers at all. Considering he was playing at Wright St those are nothing to crow about. Maybe his brother will turn into B10 talent, he's not turning heads yet though. |

BTW, Wright State isn't exactly a scorers paradise, but I get your point. N'Gai may not have the numbers, my overall point was, tOSU is too good of a program to not have a PG who can handle man to man pressure. Most colleges aren't struggling for that. N'Gai would have given tOSU that last year. ESPN analysis of Nyles BTW http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recru...6season%3d2011 Quote:
