Exactly. Like Marc Givler $aid, the last true freshman LB to make a SIGNIFICANT impact at
OSU was Katzenmoyer. Even Ryan Shazier, who everyone believes is a future All-American, needed time to adjust. To think that Mitchell or Johnson are going to step in and start from Day 1 is just wishful thinking. The staff sees them as the future. The staff see Sanders as the present. With Sanders,
OSU could possibly get a kid with the maturity, strength, conditioning and talent to help out as soon as he steps on campus. Keep in mind he has been at Butler CC...where they literally groom guys to move on to D1 programs...and they play nothing but other football factories like Fort Scott, Iowa Western, Coffeyville and Garden City. This level of competition is vastly superior to even the big time HS ball Johnson and Mitchell play.
