This was a pretty feeble attempt on Lemming's part to clear the air. He his whole practice is clouded with controversy right now, and the best thing he could have done was instead of saying that he is being honest, just be honest. Admit that he is a homer for certain teams/coaches. His infatuation with Notre Dame and Nebraska are well documented, even during the miserable Willingham years at ND and sub-par (by their standards) Frank Solich years at Nebraska. It's not like Charlie Weis and Bill Callahan showed up and all of a sudden he is back to praising ND and Nebraska (although Charlie is doing a heck of a job and ND has offers out to about 3 times as many kids as did at this point last year). There has always been a large number of people who felt like they weren't always getting the most objective information when they got it from Lemming. I think if people see through this weak attempt to clear his name, they may begin to doubt his ethics even more.
