I had the distinct privilege of being a teamate of "Big Daddy" Chris Ward for 2 ('76-77) years. Chris was an amazing football player and an even more amazing person. After he left
OSU, I spoke with him a few times after, over the following couple years. Then I didn't see him again till we sat close to each other at the Fiesta Bowl vs. Miami. We spoke of many things other than football as if we had never had more than 20 years pass between meetings. He is an all-time great Buckeye and someone I feel honored to call a friend. He makes anyone that comes in contact with him feel good. I know of no teamates that don't remember and love Chris Ward in that same way!
