One of the staples of the fall is college football games. One of the staples of the fall recruiting season is getting recruits on campus for big football weekends. Ohio State had its four commitments from the 2006 class, including Lawrence North's Oden and point guard Mike Conley, on campus for the Sept. 10 game against Texas.
The most intriguing sight among the basketball recruits at the game, though, was Jon Diebler. A 6-6 guard-forward combination from Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Diebler attended the OSU-Texas game instead of Michigan-Notre Dame. He originally made a verbal commitment to Valparaiso after his sophomore year, but he has been quoted recently as saying he's looking forward to playing with Ohio State's 2006 class. He's also being recruited by Michigan.
