Quality wins do count in the BCS, margin of vicotry does not. The reason
OSU needs WSU to lose is because they are giving SC a Qualtiy win bonus (just like they did for tOSU last year). Without that bonus it would be much easier to see
OSU pass them for the Sugar bid. There is a decent breakdown on the SC board of how all that works out.
