No. But since it's the best AARP poll for retired coaches it does have significance to Lee Corso.
The number of votes separating #7 Ohio State from #8 Miami, Fla (32) is the same as the number of votes separating #4 Florida from #7 Ohio State (32). So many coaches voted Ohio State #4 that if any of the popular teams placed ahead of
OSU struggle in the slightest (Florida State, Georgia)
OSU would stand to move all the way up to #5 with only a few coaches reshuffling their ballot.
I think this reflects
OSU's standings in the AP, Coaches, and Harris polls as well.
OSU is #7 or #8 in most every poll, but so many voters have the Bucks at #4 that a swing of just a few votes will get them back in the Top-5.
LSU is listed everywhere from #9 to unranked!
