Glenville's boys track team wrapped up its outdoor season with another dominant performance in the Adidas Outdoor Championships in Raleigh, N.C., on Friday and Saturday.

The Tarblooders "A" team recorded two firsts and a second in sprint relays. The "B" team had a third and fourth.

Ted Ginn Jr. was the only boys athlete to place first in three events. He won the 110-meter hurdles in 13.46 and ran on the first-place 4x100 and 4x200 relays. Ginn also ran on the runner-up 4x400 relay.

Glenville won its second consecutive Division I state championship earlier this month with an all-division record 80 points. It was the second consecutive season the Tarblooders would have won the national high school championship had team scores been kept.

"It was a real show," Glenville coach Ted Ginn Sr. said. "You kind of hate to see the seniors go. I'm proud of all of them."

Ginn Jr. was joined by Freddie Lenix, Stephon Fuqua and Daven Jones on the 4x100 relay team that won in a time of 40.51. Lenix, Fuqua and Jamario O'Neal ran with Ginn on the 4x200 relay that ran a 1:23.78 the best high school time in the nation this season.

Ginn, Cloud, O'Neal and Fuqua ran 3:13.44 on the runner-up 4x400 relay.

Glenville's B team of Myron Howard, Andre Evans, Raymond Small and O'Neal clocked a 41.28 in the 4x100 relay. Cloud, Small, Jones and Evans ran 1:26.07 in the 4x200.

In the girls meet, Collinwood had a second-, a seventh-, and two ninth-place finishes in relays. Jenice Williams, Shantell Lewis, Sabrina Parr and Joi Smith ran 1:46.55 on the runner-up 800-meter sprint medley relay. Parr, Regina Adams, Smith and Brandy Taylor ran 3:52.50 to finish seventh in the 4x400 relay. The Railroaders finished ninth in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays.

Beaumont's Maggie Infeld finished fifth in the 1,600 meters in 4:47.04. Infeld ran with Brittney Cofield, Barb Roberson and Ruby Pickens on the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay team that finished third in 4:01.63.

Hawken's Brook Turner finished fifth in the 400 meters in 54.32, Bay's Kelley Moore was fourth in the discus with a throw of 143-0 and Rhodes' Francine Jennings was eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:02.21.
