I think a lot of the problem is that everyone went ape[censored] after 2002, because that wasn't a season going in that a whole lot of people were realistically thinking NC. After that, some "fans" see a lot of talent, and just don't understand how hard it is to go through a grueling season and beat everyone, EVERYONE, on your schedule. Hell, these kids get banged up and have a hard time waling during the week, and then everyone expects them to go out and play perfectly 13 straight times against teams just as hungry and often as much or nearly as much talent-wise as they are. 2002 produced a lot of unrealistic expectations, and now everyone al of a sudden expects 5 national championships a decade...it just ain't going to happen folks, and if you implode when a team goes 9-2, I suggest you find a different hobby.
