Revere at Copley
What, when, where: Suburban League game, 7 p.m., Copley Stadium, 3807 Ridgewood Road, Copley. Call 330-644- 4833.
Records: Revere 4-3, 3-1; Copley 5-2, 2-2.
What to watch: Let's face it. The league race is over. So this game is more about computer points, bragging rights and ownership of the Bell Trophy, a tradition begun shortly after the league's inception in 1966. Revere is one of the hottest teams in Summit County, knocking off Cloverleaf and Green the last two weeks to climb into sixth place in Division III, Region 9. Copley, despite suffering back-to-back losses to Tallmadge and Green the last two weeks of September, is less than one point out of the eighth and final playoff spot in highly competitive Division II, Region 5. With Delone Carter running wild, Revere defenders such as Jamie Mackie, Louie Clark and Dan Zarkovacki will have their hands full. Copley has won the last three meetings, but Revere has won eight of the past 14.
