there's no way that OU wasn't going to stay at #2. The thing is, OU played nobody that great outside of Texas. Auburn's conference trumps anything OU did all year. OU's schedule was not great by any means, therefore they have no business being there on account of Auburn's tough schedule (minus a few OOC opponents, OU's weren't that tough either). OU got in on their name, just like USC is getting in on their name this year. They haven't proven they deserve to be killing Texas every week, yet you stay at the top until you lose if you are a former champ.

they aren't. The rumor was about 06, and that was filled by BG. IIRC, they will be D-I by the time we might play them (in 08???).
