I've pretty much resigned myself to believing we're all stuck hoping Sparty can knock off PSU. Wisconsin's defense is really, really bad; their secret has been to "score more" than their opponents on the legs of Calhoun. I've seen enough games this season now to believe that the Badgers have absolutely no shot against PSU since they'll neither run on the PSU D or be much more than a speed bump for the PSU O.
As far as a BCS at-large bid goes, if
OSU wins out we're good. Most of the teams ahead of
OSU still play each other. There are five games remaining that will deal out five losses to teams ahead of
OSU, not counting the loss Georgia has already suffered and any remaining upsets. The closest two loss team to
OSU is Notre Dame, whose SOS is about to fall into the toilet with games remaining against Tennessee, Navy, Syracuse, and Stanford.
OSU takes a hit with the game against Illinois, but should hold firm with a Top-5 schedule thanks to Northwestern and at Michigan.
