I directly quoted you taking issue with Notre Dame being ranked #7 in the Coaches poll. I understand and respect your method of ranking teams, but do you understand why I don't think you can hold me to the rationale for your personal poll when I am addressing the critique of the Coaches poll?

When the issue is the Coaches poll's ranking, the discussion shifts to what the voters (the coaches) could have been factoring into their decision making process. I don't see how the argument that Notre Dame is a media darling would have anything to do with the D1A coaches' opinions on which teams are the best, so in my mind it must be something else.

I think MSU is obviously demoralized and playing without focus, and truly is a lesser team than they were when they knocked off Notre Dame in South Bend. I don't think it's that far fetched to think that others feel that Notre Dame lost to a quality opponent at the time. What is unfortunate, however, is that Ohio State beat MSU when they were still playing decently, and we didn't lose both of our 2 losses at home (and we didn't have to pull bull[censored] tactics like growing the grass long to gain an advantage over Texas).
