"i think there are some weaknesses back there."
The secondary hasn't given up a single over-the-head TD pass in two years...not one.
Here's TD passes given up this year, by game:
Washington: 0
San Diego State: 1
NC State: 3 (regulation)
Bowling Green: 2
Northwestern: 0
Wisconsin: 1
Iowa: 0
Indiana: 1 (against subs)
Penn State: 1
Michigan State: 2
Purdue: 0
We've given up 11 TD passes in 11 games. Not great, but not shabby. We've also held two of the conference's most potent passing offenses to 2 TD passes total during the last two games. We also held one Heisman candidate QB and his Heisman candidate WR to 0 TDs (Washington) and held the potential Heisman winner (Rivers) to near squat over three quarters. Also, our starters have given up but 4 TD passes in 7 conference games.
