actually, it would aid ohio state's chances for a bcs at-large bid if texas tech wins. notre dame runs the threat of dropping out of the bcs top-12 and, therefore, a shot at a bcs bowl game if those teams immediately behind notre dame continue to beat stronger opponents than notre dame's remaining weak opponents. at 13th in the bcs, florida's loss today, in my opinion, further hurts
osu's chances (though
osu's chances are still considerable). due to the gator's remaining schedule strength, they were a team that could have overtaken notre dame.
while the human polls (specifically, and most importantly, the usa today poll) are not likely to drop notre dame if the irish don't lose, the computer polls will drop them, as they continue to play weak opponents and the surrounding teams play stronger opponents.
