Ok my thoughts.
Oden will start from day one. He is that good. His defensive presence is amazing. Even against Pouge who is 6'8'' he couldnt get a shot off without it being blocked. The shot blocking ability reminds me of Ken Johnson when he was here. The kid almost had a triple double in a high school game.
The only thing he needs to work on is passing out of double teams. He had a couple careless passes, but that can be expected when he has 8 hands reaching for the ball everytime he touches it.
I was real impressed with his touch from the free throw line. 9-10. That is really impressive from a big guy, especially since he will go to the line often.
He also doesnt get into foul trouble, which is a good thing for a big man.
Conley just let the game go in the first half, but in the second half when Dunbar came back and cut it to 3 he really took control, he got the offense in sync, he knocked down a big three and he led the break really well. I am really impressed with his ability to be able to lead a team, and just be a good pg, and he can shoot it when need be. Very solid.
Daquen was the one that really impressed me. In limited action, he showed that he has a sweet stroke, he can take you off the dribble, he can pull up and shoot it, put it off the glass, and he can attack the rim. I was really impressed with his quickness. I know the guys for North are not on his level in terms of quicks, but it seemed like they were in slow motion, besides when Conley was on him.
I see Cook and Conley as the two back up guards next year behind Butler, Lewis, and Mayes.
Anyways it was a great showing, and it was awesome for us to get all the pub we got. Really exciting things happening here in Columbus.
