Those NFL coaching numbers aren't horrible at all. Much better than the Ol' ball coach. In college you have a little more control over your success in my opinion; especially an excellent recruiter like ol petey boy at a school with great facilities, location, and tradition. In the NFL you have to deal with the salary cap, free agency, etc. If he is offered a job in the NFL you can bet that team is currently pretty bad and may take a couple of years to build up. That is the exact same situation that Petey walked into at SC. He needed a couple of years to build them up and he now can do what no one has ever done. If SC wins a 3rd straight nat'l championship, how can he not at least entertain the idea of a new challenge. I am curious which college team has the highest NFL draft eligible players on their current rosters in terms of projected salary. This is almost impossible to measure at this point but I am curious. I bet USC and Texas have to be 1, 2.
