Daequan Cook and Aaron Pogue each had double-doubles as Dunbar defeated Martin Luther King of Riverside, Calif., 90-47, Thursday in the 25th Beach Ball Classic boys high school basketball tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Cook, a 6-foot-5 guard who will play at Ohio State next year, had 30 points and 10 rebounds, while the 6-9 Pogue had 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Mark Anderson was the other big scorer with 22 points for the Wolverines, who set a tournament single-game record, shooting 65.1 percent (41-63) from the floor.
Now 7-2, Dunbar meets Lower Richland, S.C., (10-2) in the consolation bracket championship game today at 1:45 p.m.
