I also got married on a football Saturday. In 2002, there were no bye weeks, and we wanted a fall wedding, so my wife (also an
OSU alum) and I chose the Cincinnati game. After all, it was a road game, and it wasn't going to be close anyway.
(In our defense, we *did* have the DJ announce the final score and play Buckeye Battle Cry at the reception when the game mercifully ended and we could stop getting updates from people's cell phones)
