I'm one of the posters who follows recruiting with far greater interest than anything else. During the dark days of Michigan owning John Cooper the scUM recruiters went throughout the country claiming they were the dominant team in the big ten. Given our record under Cooper it was hard to argue.

This was especially true in Ohio. Going back just a few years ago it was not at all uncommon to hear our top instate recruits mentioning how they had grown up shall we say misdirected. Did you ever wonder where the expression "Generation X" got started? Now you know.

Today you hear recruits talking tOSU wins BCS games and plays for championships. Even kids growing up in Michigan are now not scUM locks they are showing interest in playing for the dominant ten in the big ten.
