i actually think that the Texas defense has a chance a being better than it was this year. the loss of huff hurts but we return two of the three linebackers and bring in sergio kendall who was the #1 LB recruit in the nation. we will have a full year in the system and our secondary will still be stacked, anchored by Terrel brown and Aaron Ross at the corners. We lose Rod Wright but we return both starting DE's and have more than enough beef in the middle to make up for it.
Our offensive line loses 2 starters including AA J. Scott but we will return 3 starters and a host of backups that recieved plenty of action this year. One of the reasons for Mack's consistancy is that he has recruited very well in the trenches and he rotates them in to get experience. This is one area where texas truely does Reload instead of rebuild.
You should know about the stable of runningbacks and they did nothing but improve all year. We should have a dominant running game next year.
No doubt about it the largest question mark for the horns is at QB. If we can get solid play and avoid the turnover(agianst what is sure to be a ball hawking d) then I believe that texas will be able to win the game. If you can force a couple of turnovers then it will be much harder to stop the
OSU "O" on a short field than it was last year.
I can't wait as it is sure to be another meeting of 2 top 10 (maybe even top 5) teams and its gonna be down in the Hill Country.
p.s. i hate the [censored]ing offseason
