Exactly! It also depends on what position the individual is slotted to play. Is it necessary for a nose tackle to have great speed. No, his job is to clog up the middle. It would be nice for the guy to have get speed and get after the QB, but don't confuse speed with quickness.

Secondly, it depends on what sport you are discussing. Speed is not as necessary (in most positions) in Baseball as it is in Football. Skill sets for a catcher is far more important that speed in this equation.
