If the kid does have a history of off-the-field problems, my guess is that Tressel goes nowhere near him.
While the media enjoys putting a microscope on our player arrests, they don't like to give equal treatment to Tressel's & Geiger's firm way of handling those players.
OSU hasn't given the repeat or serious offenders a bunch of more chances, unlike the other major programs under the microscope (but hey, the cops were obviously racist bastards in arresting Rolle).
I also agree that the Schlegel transfer isn't relevant--he was starting, and making lots and lots of tackles.
