PROFESSIONAL: 2005: Started six games for the Arizona Rattlers compiling a 2-4 record. He played his last season in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers. 2002-2003: Germaine played for the Cincinnati Bengals. 2001: He played one season with the Kansas City Chiefs. 1999-2000: Germaine played at the St Louis Rams club and prizes a Super Bowl Ring from the 1999 season.
COLLEGE: Germaine was a quarterback for the Buckeyes from 1996-1998. During his senior year as a starter and team co-captain, he set 11 school records while throwing for 3,330 yards and 25 touchdowns that separated him from other Ohio State quarterbacks. The Chicago Tribune honored Germaine with the Silver Football Award as the Big Ten MVP in 1998. He led the Buckeyes to the No. 1 national ranking for a school-record tying 10-consecutive weeks. The Big Ten coaches named Germaine as the Offensive Player of the Year. He was also awarded the Archie Griffin Award (’98).
PERSONAL: Germaine played football, baseball and basketball at Mountain View High School. While attending OSU Germaine proved his winning capability by setting all-time records and leading the team to a ’97 Rose Bowl victory. Germaine’s best memory is having his parents attend all his games at OSU his senior year. Lists his father “Big Joe” as the most influential person in his life. Germaine’s favorite aspect of Arena Football is his teammates. Joe’s favorite motto is: “There is no chance, no fate, no destiny that can circumvent, hinder, or control the firm resolve of a determined soul.” Germaine is married to wife Natalie and has one son, Jackson. The resident of Chandler, Arizona enjoys spending his days off with his family.
