It's too late for today; but for future bets, have you ever considered just betting for a team to win or lose with adjusted payoff odds (not necessarily 1:1) and no point spread per below?

<TABLE class=spoftitleslip cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 align=center><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle width=10></TD><TD class=blackbig align=left>Iowa v Ohio State </TD><TD class=black align=right>Mar 12, 2006 16:30 </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE class=spofslip cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=1 align=center border=0><TBODY class=blacknews><TR class=blackbig><TD class=blackfett align=left width="3%">577</TD><TD width="36%">Iowa +2.5</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.9091</TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD></TD><TD class=blackfett align=left width="3%">578</TD><TD width="36%">Ohio State -2.5</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.9091</TD><TD width="3%"></TD></TR><TR><TD width="3%"></TD><TD width="36%">Game Total OVER 123</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.9091</TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD></TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD width="36%">Game Total UNDER 123</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.9091</TD><TD width="3%"></TD></TR><TR><TD width="3%"></TD><TD width="36%">Iowa To Win</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">2.3</TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD></TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD width="36%">Ohio State To Win</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.6667</TD><TD width="3%"></TD></TR><TR><TD width="3%"></TD><TD width="36%">Iowa 1st Half +1</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.9524</TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD></TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD width="36%">Ohio State 1st Half -1</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.8696</TD><TD width="3%"></TD></TR><TR><TD width="3%"></TD><TD width="36%">X Iowa 2nd Half 0</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.9091</TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD></TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD width="36%">X Ohio State 2nd Half 0</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.9091</TD><TD width="3%"></TD></TR><TR><TD width="3%"></TD><TD width="36%">X 2nd Half Total OVER 0</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.9091</TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD></TD><TD width="3%"></TD><TD width="36%">X 2nd Half Total UNDER 0</TD><TD noWrap align=right width="6%">1.9091</TD><TD width="3%"></TD></TR></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
If Ohio State wins it would pay 1.6667 (i .e. you only win $66 on a $100 bet)
If Iowa wins it pays 2.3 (i.e. you win $130 on a $100 bet).

2. I won't be home during the NFL draft; however, here are a couple ideas that you may want to consider:

a. The total number of Buckeyes taken in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft (I've seen mock drafts that list anywhere from 2 to 6 Buckeyes taken in the first round. Hawk and Holmes seem to be a lock; however, Youboty, Carpender, Whitner, and Mangold are real possibilities, too):

VBet............................................ odds*
Two Buckeyes taken........................ 1:2
Three Buckeyes taken...................... 1:2
Four Buckeyes taken........................ 1:2
Five Buckeyes taken........................ 1:2 1/2
Six Buckeyes taken.......................... 1:3
One or more than six Buckeyes taken...1:10

b. Who will be the last Buckeye taken in the 2006 NFL draft?

vBet............ odds*
Sims............ 1:3
Schlegel....... 1:3
Kudla........... 1:3
Salley.......... 1:3
Huston......... 1:6
Green.......... 1:6
Hamby......... 1:6
other........... 1:8

* I just guessed (WAG) at the odds
Brilliant!!!
