789, booker is not in my top-10, therefore he should not be the focus of the debate (tho I'll answer your post below). IMO, Pittman is not the best back in the big ten (Sutton is), and it's debatable vs Hart.
Pittman is not the #2 back, and DEFINITELY is not beyond all of the other backs not named Peterson, with his struggles with finding the endzone.

so a +.4 edge in average makes up for -6 tds? Pittman didn't know what the end zone looked like until the easier portion of our schedule. Irons scored in every single SEC game except arkansas.

The OL can't block and sustain drives, and he's splitting carries with a solid senior RB. Very few backs would pick up 4.6 ypc in that horrendous offense.
