I just remembered that Reggie's stepfather LaMar Griffin is, in addition to being a security guard, also a minister at Life-Changing International Church Ministries. It is possible he gets a tax exemption for clergy housing allowance. This would make it more possible for him to live in a nicer house than someone else with the same salary.
