BSH: "I think you mistook my point. I didn't really mean be a fan of, because I'd rather root for the brewers than any other team. It's what I grew up with."

No, I understood you. We are who we are. You grew up with the 'Crew, I grew up with the Yankees. My theoretical argument was kindof, "If someone just came down from the moon, and could choose a team, who would he/she choose?"

My point (Yankees excluded) is that its more enjoyable to cheer for a small market team that does the right things than cheer for a big market team that can't stay out of its own way.

"100 out of 100 would rather have the financial capabilities of the big boys."

No question. But first and foremost, I want my team to do things the right way (with money or without money). Having the money and finishing in last place (like the Mets) every year doesn't do much for me.

" had trouble rooting for the marlins the second time because they dumped after their first w.s. and i felt they didn't "deserve" another."

Yeah, but the Fish made a lot of great moves to win the 2nd Title: Josh Beckett, Miguel Cabrera, Mike Lowell, Pudge, etc. They even lost a stud lefty (A.J. Burnett) for the season and still won it all.

"Especially when I've been pained with 12 straight losing seasons....ugh."

I think your era of suffering is nearing the end. The Brewers have a bright, bright future ahead of them. They've got a TON of kids. And Sheets is the Daddy.

JCOSU: "Tell me who the last great player to leave the Yankees for another team......"

Andy Pettite, 2004. Is that long ago enough for you? How bout another guy named Reginald Martinez Jackson (Hall of Famer) in 1982?
