The Rio Grande is a disgrace. It's a low, dirty, not terribly impressive. The Guadalupe is beautiful, not far from Austin. You can go tubing for hours down the river, we even have tubes for ice chests, so people can drink while they float. Highly recommended to escape from the heat you all claim will be non-existent. Of course, Austin is surrounded by five lakes (the Colorado River flows through downtown) They are all good-sized, and populated by beautiful women. I plan to include them in an extensive list of activities to do in Austin, as the game gets closer.
