Wasn't born in Ohio, but must have been born a Buckeye, for at age 6 weeks I convinced my parents to move from Huntington WVA to Columbus.

My earliest Buckeye memories are watching the great Buckeye basketball teams on a small, round screen black and white TV. Lucas and the gang...

My early years were spent in the Berwick area(Scottwood Road). I played little league football for the Berwick Jets, while Archie and his brothers played for the' "smaller" team, the Rockets...

I recall many a pickup game on the church lot on the corner of James Road and Scottwood. Archie, Raymond, Duncan, a guy named Frank Stavroff who punted for Indiana, they all played.

Later we moved to the Canal Winchester/Pickerington area. I went to Grovepot Madison due to school boundaries. I played Basketball, Football and track, graduating in 1975. Pat Curto, a Buckeye Defensive End was there then, as well as Ben Needham, a scUM linebacker...

First year of college was at Ohio University, in Biddle Hall. Great(read wild) times. I still have the flag from center field on the baseball field. <sigh> Was a walk-on for basketball and track(High Jump and 440) but never got to play because my health failed...our dorm team won the intramural football league...

Got sick, transferred to Columbus State and later to Ohio State...sat in the Block O my freshman year, what a blast...got out in 1982 (Philosophy/Photography) worked in the Philosophy Library in University Hall...

Married my SR year and gave up the dream of being a Professor...

work for various Columbus Corps, from Laz, to Bank One, to Victoria's Secret Catalogue...

moved west, to MO, then CA, then AZ...from there to Australia and now back, (forgive me) to Michigan...

used to sing a lot of karaoke with Big Pete Johnson...great guy, loves to be happy and party...boy does he have a low voice... :-)

miss Ohio,m would love to get my hands on some Buckeyes(the nut) :-)

be well
