Craig will be joined by Martez Wilson, a 6-foot-4, 230-pound defensive end out of Simeon High in Chicago. Wilson hasn't committed anywhere yet, but Illinois, Michigan and Kansas State are listed as interested schools in his RecruitTracker profile.

Buzzmaster: We've got Martez! Let's get started!
Craig Haubert: Welcome everyone to another recruiting chat -- As always thanks for joining us. We have one of the nations top defensive end prospects in Martez Wilson stopping by to take some of your questions. Martez is out of Simeon High in Chicago and you can read more about him after the chat in this weeks "Get To Know".
Craig Haubert: Two quick announcements before we get started. Tomorrow on ESPNU RB Marc Tyler will be announcing his decision live at 4:05 EST
Craig Haubert: Also on July 10th we will be releasing the ESPN 150.

Pat (chicago): Matez, what defensive end would you compare yourself to and why?
Martez Wilson: I compare myself to Simeon Rice, because, No. 1 we're both tall, fast, athletic and have long arms. We're both from the state of Illinois. We both play hard. That's who i compare myself to.

Ryan, Port Charlotte, FL: Hey Martez, How about the U. I read in an article that it was your dream school. Is that true and what are the 'Canes chances in the recruiting process?
Martez Wilson: Yes, that is my dream school in growing up. Recently, they sent me a letter, because they want to see my highlight tape. Then I guess they'll decide on whether to make an offer. Yes, I sure would like to go there.

Russel (Lincoln, NE): Martez are you planing an offical visit to Notre Dame?
Martez Wilson: Yes I am. I haven't made an official date yet, but I plan on making one.

Jack: (Chicago, Illinois): Martez, how close are you and Derek Rose? And will his decision on where to attend college affect your?
Martez Wilson: Actually, we're pretty close. We kick it now and then. We talk. His decision won't effect my decision. He has to do what's best for him, and me, I have to do what's best for me.

Brian (PA): Martez who is recruiting you the hardest? Do you think you will play LB or DE and do you have any favorites (ND)?
Martez Wilson: Right now, Wisconsin, Illinois and Notre Dame are recruiting me the hardest. ND is talking to me about an OLB. Illinois is looking at me as an athlete, DE, LB, TE. Wisconsin as an OLB. It varies with the schools and what spots they need to fill.

Ed (Maryland): Hows it goin Martez. Any chance you will take a visit to Penn State. I know it's a little far but I promise you it will be well worth it.
Martez Wilson: I want to make a visit there. I'm thinking about making an official visit. It all depends on my top 5. I sure would like to go down there.

Dan (Middletown,NJ): Martez, if you could be any other position what would it be and why?
Martez Wilson: I would play safety, because I feel I have good enough footwork and speed and I can tackle. I feel I could be a good safety.

Tim, Miami: how much would like to weigh heading into college?
Martez Wilson: I would like to weigh a good 240-245.

Bill, South Bend: Are you looking at the defensive schemes schools run to help you decide?
Martez Wilson: I'm not looking at defensive schemes right now. But when I look at making a serious decision, I will look at it to make sure I feel comfortable in that program

Dan (NJ): What would draw you to select a team to play for?
Martez Wilson: First, the coaches that I can trust. Second, academics if they have the major I want to major in which is real estate or business. Third, the prestige of the program. Are they up and coming?

Will, AZ: What do you think is the toughest conference in college football?
Martez Wilson: I would have to say the Big 10.

Marc (Los Angeles, CA): Martez, What are you thoughts of going to school at USC? Big city, sunshine, great academics and alumni association and a school that could use a good pass-rusher like yourself. Can't forget that USC has recently sent guys like Mike Patterson, Shaun Cody and Kenechi Udeze in the league as well as a guy like Willie McGinest and Pete Carroll is the most charismatic coach in college. Think about it man. Fight on!
Martez Wilson: I like the USC Trojans a lot. I could see myself playing for them. They've been winning recently. I feel that I could help that program out. I see USC as a possiblity right now.

David (Wooster, OH): Martez, where does ND sit in your list/ranking of schools? Thanks GO IRISH!!
Martez Wilson: I put them in my top 5. I haven't made an official top 5. I have a top 10, but when I do make a top 5, they'll be there.

BMAC (PHILLY, PA): Martez I know you are pals with Robert Hughes. If Hughes picks up an offer this week from ND is there a chance that the both of you could be playing under the golden dome? GO IRISH
Martez Wilson: It's a great possibility, but we really have to look hard into that. Right now it's looking good, but I'm not guaranteeing anything right now.

Dan (NJ): Who was the NFL player that you liked the most and made you want to play football?
Martez Wilson: The football player that made me want to play football was Reggie White and Barry Sanders, because they dominated their positions. Up to this day, my favorite NFL stars are Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens.

John, Chicago: Have you ever watched film of the home town Bears and their dominating '86 defense?
Martez Wilson: No, I have never watched the film, but I sure would like to.

Sean (Boulder, CO): Martez, have any experiences with crazy boosters yet? Do you plan on visiting CU at all?
Martez Wilson: I don't have any experiences with any boosters. Colorado, I don't think I'll visit them, because they're not in my top 10, but if I have a chance to make an unofficial visit, I might go there.

Chris, Michigan: Who has been the toughest lineman you have faced so far in your career? Chicago has some good talent.
Martez Wilson: Actually, I'm not sure. I've been up against some good linemen. Ramon Johnson was probably the toughest. Not to brag or nothing, but I dominated them all. But Ramon was the toughest.

Chris (Philly): Martez - Is staying close to home a factor in your decision?
Martez Wilson: No it isn't. Location does not matter.

Pat (chicago): Marc Tyler annouced he would be deciding where he is going to go soon. What day did he say he was commiting, and is it a safe assumption that he is going to be headed to USC.
Craig Haubert: Tyler will announce tomorrow on the U like I mentioned earlier - tune in tomorrow to find out where he is going

Robert (Minneapolis): Craig- Do you think Jimmy Claussen will be the real thing, or is he just an overhyped prima donna?
Craig Haubert: No I think he is the real deal. He has exceptioanl arm strength and is well groomed in the pass game as far as scheme is concerned. Nothing is ever a lock in life and anything could happen,- but in a perfect world, he should be a good one at the college level.

Rob, Philadelphia,PA: Craig, I been looking at all these recruiting websites and see that they have their top 100 propects lists together, including yours. How is this possible when not all players have been evaluated???
Craig Haubert: I can't comment on other sites or how they have put together their lists or why they have chosen to release them when they did because I simply don't know.
Craig Haubert: We will be officially releasing our 150 on 7/10 -- we now have grades on the recruit tracker but no one is ranked. We feel by our release date we will have seen many of the nation's top players and can put togther a comprehensive ranking.
Craig Haubert: We will continue to go through film after the 10th and evaluate players and keep adjusting the list as need be.

Charles (Baltimore): What can you tell us about Nick Sukay. He has a very impressive list of offers.
Craig Haubert: Sukay is one of the top players in the Keystone State -- he is a big and physical receiver with big-play ability after the catch. Very competitive when the ball is in the air -- very good hands -- those are the reasons why schools are looking hard at him.

victor alexandria,la: craig what do you make of michigan this year?
Craig Haubert: I think Michigan is off to a great start -- QB Ryan Mallett is a nice fit and S Jeremy Finch is an excellent safety -- great size with range versus the pass and run. A nice addition with Jonas Mouton. They have 5 prospects who so far have graded very well.

Matt (Akron, OH): WHat do you think of Toney Clemons?
Craig Haubert: His true position may not be determined till he gets into college -- vertical threat in the passing game and very explosive for his size. No questioning this kid's tools, but he is raw.

Shawn (Minneapolis): Craig, do you think that Wisconsin has a legit shot at signing Martez Wilson or will it be a bigger program like ND or Miami?
Craig Haubert: Well he was just here and would be the guy to ask. I will say that they are in his top 10 at this point -- so you have to consider them having a legit shot.

Marc (NJ): What are your thoughts on Penn State's class this far?
Craig Haubert: PSU is doing well, especially in state. OG Josh Marks is a good, tough player, and I also like LB Chris Colasanti out of Michigan. The two other players are in-state guys. Bit of a slow start with some good talent, but remember the Nittany lions made most of their splash last year in December and January.

Rob (LA): Is Mike Gundy upgrading the talent level of the recruits to Oklahoma State? Will they ever reach the status that K-State enjoyed for a while?
Craig Haubert: Gundy did a good job last year with some in state talent and in Texas. Guys like Burton, Chinasa, and Terrance Anderson are good players. This year slow start with three solid players on board like center Jason Hannan out of Waxahachie. So far I think he is off to a good start and deserves some time to show what he can do.

Michael (Greenwood SC): Is Spurrier doing a good job of recruiting at U of South Carolina, or is he never going to be able to reruit like he did at UF??
Craig Haubert: So far I think he is doing a great job. Tough to compare S.C. with Florida at this point. Though if you look at what he is doing in Columbia in his second year so far, it is hard not to be impressed. He has landed 3 of the top players in state, guys who a year or two ago the Gamecocks would have probably lost to Clemson or another SEC school.
