Gates is more talented than Roe, but Roe has that drive to be great, and plays with alot more intensity and effort than Gates. Gates seems to cruise by with physical dominance and athleticism while avoiding banging/battling down low while Roe will do the dirty work and mix it up and do the little things you need to win. If gates decides he wants to be great, he's the better player of the two, but if not i'll take Roe and his high effort game
Another player who's stock is rising fast this summer is Humpty Hitchens the PG from Chillicothe. This class is absolutely loaded but he's starting to establish himself as the best Ohio PG in the 2008 class. 19 ppg as a soph, but a true point who loves to distribute the rock.
