'04 OH WR/DB Ted Ginn on leaving early
http://www.ohio.com/mld/beaconjourna...ts/7898423.htm
Quote:
Ted Ginn Jr. has no plans to follow Maurice Clarett into the NFL.
Ginn was one of the most-recruited high school players in the country. He has already drawn comparisons to Deion Sanders with his blazing speed.
But he knows that speed alone isn't enough for him to compete with the big boys.
``I don't think anybody can go straight out of high school, including myself,'' Ginn said. ``We may be fast enough. But we're not strong enough, or mentally ready. Those are grown men. They have a lot of experience.''

Quote:
Ginn will be a defensive back at Ohio State after playing quarterback, wide receiver and cornerback in high school. He said if he were to turn pro, it would take him another year to get ready physically.
``If I go and I learn the system, and they get me bigger to play, I think I'm fast enough already. I think I could do it,'' he said.
But it's not an option he's seriously considering.
``I wouldn't mind making that money though,'' he said.
