As regards talent for the future, if you look at overall ranking within the Scout top 100 you get:
2006 = #1, #13, #28, #31
2007 = #15, #49, #62, "86
2008 - #13, #17
Note also that no other player in the top 25 for the class of 2008 (which is how far down they are rated at this point) has committed anywhere.
So the potential is there (however unlikely it is that Oden stays that long) to field a team in 2008 that includes five players ranked 17th or lower in their class.
To add a bit more perspective, the highest rated player within the top 100 to commit to
OSU from 2002 through 2005 was Ivan Harris at #48. As much as we all love Jamar (and I LOVE Jamar) his national ranking at #69 is behind 9 of the 10 recruits referenced above.
